Valerie leaned against the tree trunk where she had stopped to catch her breath. Now I'm wondering if I really shoulda ran... She thought bitterly. But then again it was a bear. She had just run when, while fishing, she had caught a salmon and a curious (and very hungry) black bear came to investigate the smell of fish. She left the fish and ran, knowing she couldn't kill it with so little warning. Especially when we were on even ground. If I'd been in a tree, I would have been able to kill it, but on the ground, it was much bigger than me.
She stood up once she thought she could continue. Well, I don't think I should head back there, since the bear is probably still there. I guess I'll just go forward. She took a step on the branch she'd been sitting on moments ago and walked across it to its intersection with a larger branch.
A couple hours later, Valerie decided to make camp for the night. Good thing I brought my fire starting kit. She pulled out her multi-purpose knife that she used for practically everything, not wanting to dull her precious swords. In a few minutes she had a few boughs cut and tied up in a make-shift lean-to. There, home indeed! She thought, proud of her work as she slipped the knife back into its sheath in her boot. Now for some food... So, leaving her lean-to, she headed back out into the forest (making sure not to go too far) to catch something for dinner.

Aliah dashed quickly through the trees, this member was close to the borders of all the tribes, what the hell was she doing at this time? She ran out to see that the member had made a small camp, she sat down in front of her seeing if she recognized her, Valerie. She smiled poking her gently, "Valerie," she whispered sharply, "Valerie wake up!"

(( Coming from -> eternadreams.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=old&action=display&thread=54&page=1 )) Ryzal nodded to Aliah. She decided to follow, even though Aliah had said nothing about her allowing her to follow her or not, that was how it was going to be. She would move on how she wished unless otherwise told not to. Unless she really wanted to, she would not allow others to discharge her if it was something important. No matter how much they didn't want her to follow. But if it had no importance to her, then she would pay heed and go on somewhere else. She felt she should follow Aliah, so that's what she did. If she said not to, she probably would obey. Unless something changed her mind. But oh well. All she was planning to do was observe what was going on. When they got there, she watched Aliah approach another girl. Her name seemed to be Valerie. That was the advantage of just observing, you could get info quite easily when others' minds' weren't paying full attention to the observer. Sometimes, if you were lucky, could get information that others didn't want you to know. But that was more for thieves and spies. She would just use the information for what she needed. For instance, "Valerie" would be useful to help her get to know her. It may surprise Valerie that she knew her name, but that wasn't important. She would only nod towards Aliah as if saying she learned from her. Maybe she wouldn't though, because it might throw Aliah's reputation out of balance for no good reason. She hoped it wouldn't matter.

"Hmmm." Valerie murmured, rolling over in her sleep as she felt a sharp prodding from Aliah. But her brain associated that the prodding hadn't been in her dream and woke up quickly. She sat up, looking around to see what had been poking her. But her panic had been unnecessary as the only other person there was Aliah. She realized how awful she must look since she'd slept on the ground and quickly combed her hair with her fingers. "Oh, hey Aliah. Is something wrong?" She added, having no sooner thought it than said it. Her stomach grumbled and she decided to get up and grab her bow, ready to catch something to eat.

Aliah sighed standing up and pulling her rucksack off of her belt and opened it offering the berries and stale bread to Valerie she then looked behind her. Ryzal had followed her, why did the spirit harbor such an interest in her? She sighed deciding to get Valerie awake before questioning anyone, "You know demons are out at night," she scolded sighing, "why are you out?" The question of inviting the girl to the guild then popped in her head, that would be next.

Ryzal almost raised an eyebrow at Valerie, quick as she may be at waking up, she isn't the fastest at seeing everything going on around her. She realized she hadn't noticed her yet, but maybe Aliah's glance at her would give it away. What would happen with this? Well, if demons were out at night, she would get something to do. If any came during that night. She may only use her claws, but her sword and magic was another thing that could unbalance advantages. Her skills would take on most but she won't brag about that much. She never forgot much of anything, as of living for three hundred years and still remembering things from two hundred years ago. Crazy.
She was watching the sky now. She would watch for anything that would alert her or anyone else. She wondered how Aliah and Valerie would react to demons coming. They seemed pretty well when warning others. She wondered if they hid and defended themselves or attacked when they came into Aliah's territory. It would be interesting. She wondered if she would join in the fight... she probably would, but what would Aliah and Valerie think? She couldn't predict it. Why would it matter anyways? All she was, was a spirit that was a priestess. It wouldn't matter about her being a priestess. Aliah didn't think much of her being one, even though she was a spirit. So why would anyone else care?

Valerie saw Aliah glance sideways and she followed her slight look to find a spirit standing there. Hmmm. I wonder what she's doing here? But her thoughts on that matter were discarded when Aliah handed her some bread and berries. Once she swallowed she spoke, "Oh, well of course I know demons are out at night. But I didn't think I was that far from the tribe. Oh well." She shrugged, thankful a demon didn't find her but also not really concerned. I wish I could go back to sleep now... Which was the culprit for her foggy mind at the moment. "I was out on a fishing trip and a bear found me so I ran. What would you have done?" Her voice got a little steely at the last part, why was Aliah here anyways? "What about you?"

Aliah dropped her kind look and glared at Valerie, why would she care what she was doing? She was waiting for Shiro, a demon, something she was sure that Valerie would not want to know, "I would have used magic," she hissed putting her food away, "it is none of your business what I do." She sighed looking at Valerie, now was not the time but she still had to, "Valerie can you help the tribe by joining the guild?" She sighed, Valerie was probobly suspisioucs or angry at her after the little outburst, oh well.

Valerie was surprised that Aliah took a tone with her. Wow, looks like I hit a tender spot, all I asked was her purpose for being here...oh well. She recovered but not enough before Aliah asked her to join the tribe guild. Wow, two surprises before I'm awake, well that's a record. She thought wryly, wondering what purpose Aliah had behind the question. I think I'll accept and play it cautiously, since it might benefit me too... She picked up her sword, for she had one out next to where she'd slept for defense purposes. With a slight bit of force, she got it back where it belonged, hanging at her side for quick removal during emergencies. "Sure, I'll join, though I'm not sure how much of a help I can be." She phrased it carefully, hoping to get some answers.

"Thanks," Aliah replied standing up and smiling, "You'll be my co-leader I need someone to look after the guild if I am ever incapacitated," she sighed turning to Ryzal, what must she think of this. She decided not to question it and just continue, "Ryzal, Valerie," she paused standing back so she could see them both and they could too, "I believe we should train together." Aliah smiled, training with Valerie was fun and with Ryzal, a Spirit, being there as well it could be interesting. She laughed and gazed in awe in her head imagining the types of abilities she could learn from such a great creature.
(Sorry we left you out a bit Magine...also I'm not sure if you guys wanna continue or pause this thread while I'm in Japan)

(( You didn't, I don't have anything major to reply too, and I don't feel like writing 200+ words that has nothing to do with my character. We can also pause. You're the admin, do what you want. You could lock this topic to force a pause. ^.^ )) Ryzal nodded to Aliah, it would be fun to do some training. Mainly because that's what she wanted to do. She felt like she had so little power, but, she could only do a few things. Nothing incredible, at least, not in her opinion. She could summon lightning... sort of. That could take down a demon... small ones at least. She rarely used her magic anyways, she only used her claws. That gave her an idea. She could use silver for her claws instead of her sword; but it would also be nice for her sword too. Though, what she wanted to learn was make an aura out of her spirit or soul and make a shield out of it. That would be unusually powerful. Maybe even use her soul as her claws. That way she could punch without slicing her hands open in the process. " I wouldn't mind some training" she said in a casual tone, shrugging. She wondered what Aliah was thinking, having a Spirit to train with her. Though, she honestly didn't care. She had very little feelings toward others. Either, they were just other beings, like trees in a forest, or she had very strong feelings for that being. Whether hatred or love. She realized she had no real feelings for demons. Just wanted them to leave the world alone. She was starting to confuse herself. Why was she brought here to Aliah, she wondered. What use did her, or her tribe, need for her? Well, it didn't fully matter. She'd live with whatever it was.

OCC -- Aliah said she has a laptop so we're good!
IC -- "But I do have one question. What is a co-leader's role in the Guild? Sorry for having to ask this, it's just, I've never been in a Guild." She had thought about asking who else was in the guild but she forgot when Ryzal agreed to training with them. This could be a very productive and useful session. I could get pointers and such probably. She started wondering what she could get out of working with a spirit such as Ryzal. Maybe she can help me with my magic. That's the only thing I can think of. Or maybe a new fighting technique...
She recovered from her shocked expression into her usual composure. "That sounds great, Ryzal. I'm sure it'll be interesting, since I've never trained with a spirit be fore." She said the last part with warmth, since she wanted to make a good impression upon the spirit and was genuinely looking forward to the session. "This will be fun." She smiled at both of them, hoping she didn't sound forced or fake. Well I shouldn't, I'm not lying...

Aliah shrugged placing a strand of hair behind her ear as a gust of breeze flew by, she sighed shrugging again this time opening her eyes and messing her har up, "If anything happans to me which I am sure will not," she paused, "you are to take control of the guild." Aliah spoke in a tone where she was more certain than un-certain of the outcome, smiling at Ryzal's response, this will be fun, she thought contently.

Ryzal nodded. Valerie seemed curios to what she could learn from a Spirit. She felt that she might let Valerie down at not being able to teach her very much. All she did was follow the lands' wishes, nothing else really. What would she get out of that? She would keep calm, and go with the flow. Nothing else. She looked around, she hoped nothing would interrupt tonight. The less demons going around destroying things, the better. Where would they do training, and when? She decided to ask. "When shall we start training?" she asked, looking to Aliah. She would probably get more information out of Aliah, as she was the leader, and probably new these lands the most.
She decided to let her mind drift slightly to what they would do during the training. She may be an expert at hand to hand combat because of the claws her wears. The sword was a different matter, she was still skilled with it, but not as skilled as she was with the claws. The sword was more powerful, and basically balanced out her claws and sword. The magic... pretty unknown. Though she was unusually powerful with the magic. Making herself become an immortal... crazy... and powerful. She could create a powerful aura that could stop most beings in their tracks and put fear into them. But that was just an aura. If they ignored the fear, they wouldn't have any trouble at all.

Aliah thought for a second making it appear like she had important 'guild work' to do, when in fact the only thing on her plate was finding Shiro, that darned demon that had never come back. "Anytime I guess," she pondered thinking hard about the consequences and as far as she was concerned there was none apart from that whole demon eye thing, she smiled at the others kindly.
